Adobe Creative Cloud 2018 is niet compatible met nieuwste MacOS release 10.15. Apple MacOS (Macintosh operating systems) lanceert half oktober de nieuwste OS-versie Catalina (10.15). Deze nieuwe versie is dusdanig gewijzigd ten opzichte van het bestaande operating system, dat IT op de nieuwste OS-versie niet meer alle software kan aanbieden. Zo kan Adobe Creative Cloud niet op de nieuwste OS-versie draaien. De dienst IT raadt gebruikers van MacOS dan ook af om de nieuwe release te installeren.

Adobe Creative Cloud 2019/2020 is al wel uit maar is nog niet beschikbaar via Surfmarket gezien Adobe niet compliant is met AVG. Eind dit jaar of begin volgend jaar verwacht adobe te kunnen voldoen aan de AVG voorwaarden.

Is de nieuwe versie al geïnstalleerd (omdat je een nieuwe Mac-computer hebt) of heb je ‘m toch geïnstalleerd, dan kun je proberen om MacOS te downgraden naar een oudere versie, wat neerkomt op herinstallatie. In de meeste gevallen wordt deze optie door Apple uitgesloten. In dat geval zou je Adobe Creative Cloud kunnen openen via de Citrix-omgeving.

Adobe Creative Cloud 2018 is not compatible with the most recent public release of macOS 10.15 (Catalina). Launched in October of 2019, macOS Catalina incorporates changes that mean that IT cannot offer all software to users running macOS Catalina. Adobe CC is among the software that cannot be offered on macOS Catalina. If you are dependent on Adobe CC for your work, IT recommends that you do not update your Mac to macOS Catalina.

Adobe Creative Cloud 2019/2020 is widely available to consumers, but is not available to us through our supplier SURFmarket, as Adobe is not GDPR compliant. Achieving this compliancy is part of negotations between SURFmarket and Adobe.

If you have updated your Mac, or have purchased a Mac that came with Catalina, you can try and downgrade your macOS version to an older version through a reinstall of macOS. If you have purchased a new Mac since October 2019, however, this will not be possible. In this case, you can also use Adobe Creative Cloud via Citrix.
